SUMMER TRAINING PROGRAM JUNE 10th - JULY 31st 2024
This will be open to those that make the 2024-2025 Winter Team. This is a great opportunity for athletes to work on dance skills, technique, conditioning, and more to help them prepare for Winter Season! The summer training program is scheduled to run June 10th - July 31st (exact dates and times will be posted on our team calendar). In addition to regular scheduled training program practices, there will be options available for student athletes to choose from including additional technique & conditioning classes, guest instructor workshops ($85-$150) and Just For Kix Dance Camp (approx. $475, June 23rd-26th) There may also be a fee for any apparel/shoes/tights, etc. that may need to be purchased.
FALL PERFORMANCE TEAM AUGUST 8th - SEPTEMBER 30th 2023
The Fall Program is organized and run through Farmington Community Ed and lead by Fall Head Coach, Katilynn Borchardt. All dancers are welcome to join the Fall Program, however, it is based on a first come first serve basis. We will close registration once we have reached maximum capacity. The Fall Performance Team is open to all interested students (grades 7-12 for the 2023-2024 school year). During the Fall Program, dancers will work on skills and technique, condition, learn a performance routine and pom routine, participate in Community Events such as Parades, Fall Youth Clinic and Football Game Halftime Performances. The Fall Season will run August 8th - September 30th with Fall practices being held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings. Please register through Community Ed. There may also be a fee for any warm-ups, apparel/shoes/tights, etc. that may need to be purchased.
WINTER COMPETITIVE TEAM OCTOBER - FEBRUARY
approx. $235 plus additional dance essential fees
The Winter Competitive Program and MSHSL Sport is lead by Head Coach Maddie Moskal. Athletes must audition for the team, team tryouts typically happen end of February or early March. Dancers' ability, attitude, and effort will all be considered when making placements for our Competitive Teams. FDT's competitive season begins the week of October 23rd and runs until Mid-February. Winter practices are held daily Monday-Saturday during the season (times TBD). The athletes selected to participate in Winter Season will be placed on our B-Squad, Junior Varsity, or Varsity Rosters. The various levels of our competitive teams will be at different stages in their skill and ability development. All levels of FDT are very important to our program and growth as a whole. Dancers will be required to learn Kick and Jazz routines to work on and compete with at various Invitationals, Conference Meets, Conference Championship, and Sections in hopes to advance to compete at the State level. Our Season will conclude with a Banquet held a few weeks after the last competition. Along with the Participation Fee, there will be additional fees for warm-ups, team shoes, bags, and any apparel/shoes/tights, etc. that will need to be purchased approx. $300-$600 depending on what is needed.
